ADVOCACY
Organizing, policy proposals, and more
I served as the inaugural Director of Marketing and Public Relations (2019-2020) and second President (2020-2021) of the Transgender and Non-binary Students of GW, a student organization dedicated to affirming, empowering, and uplifting the trans and non-binary community at the George Washington University. During my time with the organization, I helped organize GW’s first Trans Awareness Week, created a cohesive brand identity for the group, and oversaw the transition to a virtual space due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
In 2019, I was the lead organizer of the George Washington University’s inaugural Trans Awareness Week. Throughout the week, 20 campus organizations–made up of student groups, university departments, and academic programs–came together to host more than a dozen events meant to empower, support, and uplift the transgender and non-binary community at GW. Programming included 2 film screenings and talkbacks, guest speakers, a drag show fundraiser, a history workshop, and more!
